The property is a townhouse with 3 floors, the B&B is located on the first floor. The building is one of the best preserved houses on the Valkenboslaan. Although centrally located, most guests experience the B & B as an oasis of calm in a beautiful Hague district.
The house was built in 1907 and has many original Art Deco and Art Nouveau-details like stained-glass windows, a carved wooden staircase, carved ceilings and marble fireplaces. It is the birthplace of one of the owners. The floor is largely furnished with furniture, vases, glassware and crockery from her grandparents from 1915-1935. Some furniture has been made by her grandfather and are also in other rooms of the house.
The B&B offers direct public transport to the center of the city, both railwaystations (DH Central and Hollands Spoor) and is located between two wellknown Hague beaches: Kijkduin and Scheveningen. Scheveningen has a direct connection by bus.
Bed and Breakfast Art Deco is situated in the Valkenbos-district which together with Regentesse-district are the first 'new neighborhoods' built outside the Hague canals in the city center. This took place between 1885-1920. Valkenboskwartier is a beautiful old district with a variety of small restaurants and several shops. Architecture lovers can make a wonderful neighborhood walk and in the meantime walk to the old center of The Hague.
Recently there have been added a number of walking and cycling trails to the guests information on the themes art deco, Valkenboskwartier and rezoned industrial heritage throughout Hague.
